I’m honored to invite you to the opening artist reception for THE ART OF WATER IX at James May Gallery, taking place Friday, May 2nd, from 5 to 9 PM at their Milwaukee location (2201 N Farwell Ave). My piece, Low Tide, will be among the featured works in this annual exhibition that celebrates water’s profound role in our lives.
Gallery owner Kendra Bulgrin beautifully captures the spirit of the show: “There is something about water that attracts and fascinates us. It is our hope that by celebrating the beauty and necessity of water in all our lives we can better protect it.” I couldn’t agree more. Water is not only essential for survival—it shapes our landscapes, our communities, and our imaginations. It nourishes, sustains, and inspires.
I’m deeply grateful to jurist Brian Fink for including my work in such a meaningful exhibition. THE ART OF WATER IX reminds us that water is not infinite—it is vulnerable. By elevating its beauty, we also recognize our responsibility to preserve it.
Please join us for this special evening and add your voice to the celebration and stewardship of this most vital resource.
