A-Dash-of-Blue

Timestack photography of abstract white purple blue

By creative use of my camera, I’ve been able to take common objects and transform them into abstract art. This is a bouquet of wildflowers from the wilderness of Michigan Island, part of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. This national lake shore is located in Wisconsin and surrounded by the clean and clear waters of Lake Superior. By gathering the flowers against the natural light of a window from inside the lighthouse keeper’s quarters, I was able to shift the camera in a radical move 100 times to capture the true essence of these natural beauties and subsequently create an image made up of nothing more than shape, texture and color.
